Work to feature in Government Art Exhibition July 2011
Washed Away, purchased by the Dept of Finance and Personnel Northern Ireland last year
will be included in a touring exhibition featuring artwork from
collections of
both the Dept of Finance and Personnel Norhern Ireland and the OPW. Launching in Belfast this September and
travelling to venues in
Armagh, Dublin and Cork, this exhibitione xplores how artists title their work.

Forthcoming Exhibition at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, Newry Co. Down March 2011
A solo exhibition of recent work will take place at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre during
September 2011.
This will be the first exhibition of
McGuigan's work in Northern Ireland.
Further details will be posted over the coming months.
Project
Assistant on 'Perspectives' Public/Community Arts Project, Newry, Co.
Down 2011 March 2011
'Perspectives', is a temporary public art project in
Newry. Artworks at various locations around the city centre during
March & April 2011.

New work purchased for 2 public collections in September 2010 October 2010
The Office of Public Works
in Dublin purchase another painting for the State Collection.
The OPW
already have a number of paintings by Roisín McGuigan and in
2010 they have purchased another
work in their ongoing
commitment to supporting Irish Artists and
developing the contemporary art collection for
the state.
The Department of Finance and Personnel Northern Ireland
has also purchased a painting by McGuigan. The painting will be
installed in the office of the
Joint
Secretariat in Armagh, McGuigan's home county.

2 new exhibitions open in September 2010 September 2010
There are 2 exhibitions of new work by Roisín McGuigan on view during September 2010. The first exhibition 'Werstern Skies'' opens
in Siamsa Tire, Tralee, Co Kerry on Saturday 4th
September. The
second, ''Between Heaven and Earth'', opens at The Paul Kane Gallery,
6 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 on Thursday 9th September.

McGuigan awarded Kerry County Council Creative Work Development Bursary March 2010
This Bursary has been awarded to assist with the creation of a new
digital video work based upon a painting
by Paul Henry, 'Killarney, Co.
Kerry' c.1935. The
work will be exhibited as part of a solo show
in September 2010 at Siamsa Tire, Tralee, Co . Kerry.

Roisín
McGuigan has been awarded the Burren College of Art President's
Award, one of 5 Post
Graduate Scholarships offered by the Burren College of Art.

Roisín McGuigan has been awarded the Further Arts Education
Bursary by Kerry County Council for 2008.
